Tess and Charles were a joy to plan with from the very beginning! This wedding at The Drake in Chicago was a day to remember. Their story began when the two met at Fleurie, a french restaurant in Charlottesville. They were in law school and let’s just say that there were zero objections from the moment they met! The love these two share took the next big step when Charles proposed at The National Cathedral’s Bishops Garden. From there, it was an easy yes to a dream, big city vibes wedding in Chicago at The Drake Hotel.
On the big day, the bridesmaids gathered early to get ready! They had their hair and make up done while sharing sweet moments together. They popped some bubbly and kicked off the day with smiles and full hearts. The groomsmen enjoyed drinks and games together while they waited for the big moment. To say they had fun would be an understatement because there wasn’t a single photo taken where a smile wasn’t present. It was absolutely clear that this couple was surrounded by people that love and know them well!
The first look was a moment our team wishes they could encapsulate and replay over and over! Not only was it evident that they deeply love one another (just look at Charles’ face!!), but it was also heard in the words they read and exchanged with one another in private before walking down the aisle. These two most certainly have built a love that not even Nicholas Sparks could write up!
Although they live in Washington, Tess and Charles two were thrilled to host an iconic gold, black, and white formal wedding at The Drake and they didn’t hold back! Their excitement and vision was unbelievably fun to bring to life and our team is still buzzing from the truly beautiful day! What a day to remember!
