The Dalcy Chicago Micro Wedding Styled Shoot
This Dalcy Chicago wedding photoshoot was a special one. When Katie from Kathryn Hastings Photography reached out to our Planner Gina about collaborating on a styled shoot together, we immediately knew that we had an incredible opportunity to capitalize on the events occurring in 2020, and really create something beautiful during a time that has been disappointing and tragic for a lot of people, including the wedding industry.
We curated a team of vendors to come together to be a part of a day that really spoke to what a wedding could still look like regardless of size or restrictions in place. It was important to us that the venue included an outdoor element and was spacious enough to accommodate social distancing for guests, but not too large since a micro-wedding is really for no more than 50 people, so The Dalcy Chicago was the perfect choice that checked all of our boxes!
We also wanted two sets of models who were real-life couples who represented BIPOC and the LGBTQ+ community + relationships. This is something that has always been a focus for us at The Simply Elegant Group, and we want all of our couples feel represented and seen in our work.
Adding these personal touches to the day really spoke volumes in the collection of photos that were taken, as you can truly see the chemistry and love between both couples, which we think is really special and just what people are looking to see right now! xo
