The Armour House – Mitra and Brad’s Persian Wedding Day

Mitra and Brad had their Chicago wedding at The Armour House at Lake Forest Academy on August 12th. Their ceremony was following the practices of traditional Persian culture, as Mitra herself is Persian – it was so uniquely gorgeous! The day itself was bright, sunny and beautiful, filled with an abundance of love and Persian culture. The details were endless, and there are no words to describe her headpiece – stunning!

The florals were designed by Mitra herself (and created/brought to life by AEG!) We LOVE how her bridesmaids dresses are intentionally mis-matched, yet still pair PERFECTLY with their simple bouquets! Mitra’s Persian style is elegant and bold, a unique classic.

Mitra’s two best friends were the officiants for their Persian ceremony. It made everything so personal and heartfelt! After the ceremony, Mitra and Brad danced their way into their reception (per Persian culture.) In addition to that, the two celebrated the Persian tradition of the “Knife Dance”- where the ladies at the wedding party take the knife to cut the cake and the Groom has to pay them back to retrieve the knife to cut the cake! It was fun to watch all of their guests be involved, so many laughs!

Brad and Mitra’s wedding was tailored not only their fun personalities, but their culture and style too. It was the Persian Wedding in Chicago that they had always dreamed of – and it was truly SUCH an honor to help create their vision and bring it to life in the City!
