Copper Mountain Ski Resort – Melisa + Sam’s Rocky Mountain Wedding

Melisa and Sam had their mountain wedding at Copper Mountain on September 23rd. Copper Mountain is a special place for both Melisa and Sam – Melisa grew up skiing there before she could walk! Some of Melisa and Sam’s best memories are at Copper Mountain, from skiing to hiking, to *now* their wedding. When they were looking at venues for their big day, Copper Mountain was at the top of their list. Melisa’s family is a homeowner at Copper Mountain, so aside from the views and the personal ties, everything was SO convenient for them.

With ALL mountain weddings we tell all of our clients that it will rain on the day (every single time) but for Melisa and Sam it didn’t just rain it poured (in the best way possible) and it was magical. The mountain tops were dusted with clouds, and it created the most breath-taking landscape possible. Think Fall, think Rocky Mountains, think moody mystical perfection… and now scroll down to the see the amazing images (srsly!)

Aside from the location of the wedding, one of our favorite parts of Melisa and Sam’s wedding was their actual ceremony. Their first location for their ceremony was rained out, so they were forced to use their backup option – which was the third floor in Grand Hall at Copper Mountain. Not the most ideal, but with the help of their planner we made it the most perfect ceremony ever. We brought the archway up, and their family friend decorated it with gorgeous orange and navy floral arrangements. Melisa and Sam’s vows were heartfelt, intentional and endearing. During their ceremony, Melisa and Sam did a “ring warming.” During the ceremony, the rings were passed around from guest-to-guest, to make a wish for the newlyweds. We LOVED this tradition, it was perfect – and SO Melisa and Sam. There wasn’t a dry eye during the ceremony, us included.

After the ceremony the wedding continued with a gorgeous reception on the second floor of Grand Hall. Their guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner and drinks and Melisa and Sam adventured around the ski lifts nearby to take some epic photos (#MilkyWay!)

This wedding was one of our favorites, not only because of the AMAZING views but because of the LOVE between Melisa and Sam. Melisa and Sam’s love was radiating the entire day and night, in every detail. Clients who are in love, truly, undeniably in love are OUR clients! We wish we could relive this day over and over and over again.
