Meghan & Alex’s spring wedding was modern luxury, paired with festive, laid-back FUN! We know that many of our Chicago weddings are hosted in ballrooms, but that wasn’t for Meghan & Alex. They selected the Bridgeport Art Center- which is industrial chic and oh so fabulous.
This couple is ridiculously in love. Watching them embrace and enjoy the day was such a treat. There was so much laughter and enjoyment for the moments, both big and small.
Meghan’s monochromatic bouquet was a combination of peonies, garden roses, and ranunculus with a halo of babies breath. Bridesmaids bouquets were crafted with babies breath, spray roses, and dusty miller. Paired with the black, floor length gowns, it was quintessential Chicago!
The duo incorporated many traditional Mexican elements into the day- especially in the food & entertainment! It was super important to them to represent their multi-cultural heritage during the celebration. From the libations & apps (margaritas & tacos, #winning!) to the Mariachi band during cocktail hour, you could feel the festive nature in the room! It was hard not to get caught up and start swaying our hips (shhh, we may have just a tiny bit).
Educational tidbit- the his and hers cocktail choices included a Paloma (Mexico’s most beloved tequila cocktail) and a Moscow Mule (a refreshing vodka drink)
The reception decor included gorgeous linens, all white centerpieces in high and low styles, copious greenery garland and a custom hanging paper installation.
Oh! And in case you’re wondering, the couple had a different photographer for their ceremony due to restrictions from the church. We did not include those images so as not to confuse or incorrectly credit.
Be sure to check out Jill’s blog too! And if you want to do a little social stalking, the couple’s hashtag is #MeghanGetsCorraled
