Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum – Kate and Brian’s Modern Wedding!
Kate and Brian had their Chicago wedding at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago on July 29th. Their traditional ceremony was at St. Vincent DePaul Church, and their reception was outside underneath the bistro lights of Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum! The day itself was hot, and bright – perfect for a summer wedding in Chicago. What was even better than THE abundance of sunshine was the Chicago Cubs game just *blocks* from the wedding itself! Kate and Brian are HUGE Cub’s fans, so when the opportunity presented itself, they couldnt say no to putting on jerseys and catching a few first plays of the game! #GoCubs
We LOVE the modern (almost minimalist) style of Kate and Brian’s wedding! Their tablescape featured large textured copper chargers, paired with bright white linens, sprigs of greenery and simple floral arrangements, it was PERFECTION! The bistro lights and the modern staircase added to the intimacy of the reception – warm lighting is everything at summer weddings! The succulents in Kate’s bouquet matched the small succulents in Brian’s bout, and together, they both pulled in the nature theme of their venue!
Their wedding was literally the definition of “modern summer wedding in Chicago.” It had the gorgeous traditional ceremony, an AMAZING outdoor reception in the city, ambiance lighting for the night, perfect Midwest temperatures for the day, a Chicago Cubs game nearby, a packed dance floor and out of this world catering. It was modern, elegant, romantic and SO MUCH FUN! We LOVE reliving this day #GoCubsGo!
