Drake Hotel Wedding in Chicago – Sarah & Samir

When the groom has a grand entrance that includes a horse (this is traditional for Indian weddings and is called the Baraat), you know a wedding is going to be epic. And Sarah + Samir’s Drake Hotel wedding did NOT disappoint! We always gush over Indian weddings because there are so many details. And details are kind of our thing! Sarah + Samir selected The Drake Hotel for their ceremony + reception. The Drake is a stunning venue and an absolutely fabulous choice for Indian weddings. They have tons of space and KNOW luxury. The staff is well equipped to handle our requests and didn’t bat an eye when we told them we’d include the traditional groom on horse entrance. The decor was jaw-dropping-GORGEOUS! The couple selected a pallet of gold and white – is was extremely elegant, refined, and quite enchanting! Every detail was carefully selected and coordinated beautifully, if we do say so ourselves!

Both of Sarah + Samir’s first looks (one in traditional Indian attire, one in traditional American attire) were super emotional. There were happy tears and look of complete awe from Samir. This man LOVES his lady.

Seeing the bond between Samir and his Mother was ridiculously sweet too. He’s incredibly close with his family and the palpable emotion made us tear up. These moments remind us that a wedding has SO much love in the room. It’s truly a celebration of so many moments and memories that brought a couple to this point in their life. And shapes who they’ll be as partners to one another. All. the. feels.
