Alisa + Kevin’s Intimate Ceremony Due to COVID-19

Due to COVID-19, Alisa and Kevin whose date was Saturday, March 21, 2020, were the first of our clients to postpone, and made the difficult decision a little over a week before their big day. They ultimately decided to postpone (before it was actually required by the Governor) because they wanted to be able to celebrate with all their family and friends, but didn’t feel comfortable putting anyone at risk or in the position to have to make a difficult choice.

However, it was still important to them to get married on the same date and make that commitment to one another because they were ready to be Husband and Wife. At first, they were supposed to have an intimate ceremony with a lovey dinner afterwards with their parents and siblings. Then of course as the news came out about the virus worsening and the laws were becoming more strict, so they decided that they would not have their families risk anything by traveling, and were preparing for this moment to be just them two. When preparing themselves to become husband & wife, they were pleasantly surprised to see that Kevin’s brother did not allow this to stop him, and he arrived for the nuptials!

Ultimately it was the three of them physically present on their wedding day, and although the church was empty, they could truly feel the love in the church! Then to make this moment even more special, Old St. Patrick’s Church was able to live stream their ceremony , so their families that weren’t able to be there physically, could be there emotionally & spiritually!
