Jessica & Matt’s day was an absolute highlight of 2020 for us! Working with them as their Chicago wedding planners was such a breeze; they knew exactly what they wanted and weren’t going to let COVID-19 stop them from getting married. They never lost sight of what the day was all about, and that made it all the more special. They went above and beyond with thoughtful measures to ensure guests’ safety and comfortability, like having custom embroidered masks made, a sanitizing station, and other fun surprises that I don’t think we would have seen outside of this pandemic.

With a smaller guest count, their micro-wedding felt intimate and personal in many ways. They truly got to spend the entire day and night with all of their closest friends and family, while still live-streaming their Ceremony for those that couldn’t be there in person.

Smiles were on their faces all day long, and everyone there had the BEST time celebrating their love (the couple especially)! Our Favorite Part: They had been practicing a choreographed first dance together minutes before they were due on the dance floor, and even though Jess was super nervous, Matt calmly guided her through it, holding her hand every step of the way. And sure enough, they KILLED IT dancing along to L.O.V.E by Nat King Cole! It was absolutely perfect, and could not have ended this incredible day in a better way!

So even though this pandemic has come with a lot of hardships for couples, it was such a beautiful thing to witness a couple move forward hand in hand, and truly celebrate what a wedding day is all about! xo
