The Ivory Oak Wedding | Taylor + Ryan

Thinking back to Taylor + Ryan’s Ivory Oak wedding day this past October, all we can do is smile! This day was absolutely magical start to finish for one of the sweetest couples our planner has ever me, at one of the most beautiful venues she has ever been to!

These High School Sweethearts chose to get married at The Ivory Oak underneath their big oak tree where they exchanged the most lovely & personal vows (tears flowed throughout the entire ceremony, starting from the moment Ryan saw Taylor come down the grand stone staircase). There were so many thoughtful touches throughout the day, including the couple being wed by Ryan’s Father, the charms of their grandparents hanging from her bouquet, and their memorial bookcase that showcased all of their loved ones missed. Family truly means everything to this couple, and they had that shown everywhere throughout their wedding day! The couple was surrounded by everyone they loved most, and had the best time celebrating their marriage! It truly was the perfect day!

“I actually have two favorite moments from Taylor + Ryan’s Wedding Day – I can’t choose just one”

“The sun was shining, but what you cannot see in the photos is that it actually was a pretty chilly day for an outdoor Ceremony. At 2AM the night before, I received a text from Ryan saying that he wanted to surprise Taylor since she was so worried about the cold, and asked me to pick up blankets from a local store & bring them to the venue for their guests to use during the Ceremony. He cared so much about her & how this day went for her, and even went as far as asking me to please make sure the blankets matched the color scheme. It was such an adorable moment for me as a planner, and seeing Taylor’s face when she saw the blankets & knew Ryan made that request, absolutely melted my heart!”
“Ryan + Taylor decided to exchange gifts the day-of, which I LOVE. So when Ryan handed me his gift for Taylor, he let me know the meaning behind it. When Ryan proposed to Taylor, he wrote down what he said on a saved document on his computer, which she eventually wanted to print and frame for their wedding day/their home. Sadly with a malfunction on his computer they thought they had lost these words forever, which devastated Taylor. Ryan spent a lot of money on various programs to try and restore the document, but was never able to recover it. Months later after hope was lost, Ryan went on his iPad and realized that the Cloud had saved it there, and he was ecstatic. So Ryan kept this to himself, had his words printed & framed, and gave it to her as her gift. Knowing this secret while she was opening it, and seeing her reaction and the tears streaming down her face brought tears to my eyes. This was my favorite gift exchange of all time, and something I will remember forever!”
