Minneapolis Wedding Planner | The Loft at Studio J, Erin & Rod

When we think of our weddings over the years, we feel fortunate to have worked with a vast variety of "types" and themes. And we're pretty certain that Erin + Rod's wedding day will go down as one of our favorites as of late. These two are true soulmates. They're so connected. They have an infectious love that you is so apparent when you spend time with them. And their friends and family are an incredible support system that obviously adores them.

Erin looked stunning in her illusion back sheath style gown- and it fit her like a glove. She was a vision!

The couple opted for a first look with a twist. Instead of sharing the moment just them, it was decided to have family and bridal party witness the occasion. So as Erin rounded the corner of the courtyard, Rod practically exploded with tears, and their happy laughter floated through the air while the rest of the group had a collective gasp & stood awe-struck as they united. You can see in the background of the images Rod's family just glowing. The joy was incredible. It was, hands down, one of our favorite moments to see captured.

The decor for the wedding was fantastic too- The Loft at Studio J has an industrial vibe and their rich jewel tone color combination was beautiful in the space! The wedding was close to the Christmas holiday, and you can see the subtle influence of a Winter Wonderland inspiration.

We hope you love these photos are much as we do! Be sure to follow us on Instagram for a few images not included below :)

Chicago Wedding Planner | Salvage One, Brittany & Andrew

Brittany and Andrew were so easy to work with. They are both such special, incredible people and their wedding planning process reflected that. While they were so easy going and laid back, yet simultaneously very intentional about their details and day.

Simply stated, the day was just very special. Working at Salvage One was a great experience- the venue is so unique! They're a 60,000 square foot vintage Chicago warehouse with exposed brick, large windows, and wood floors. They also have an eclectic mix of furniture- which fit right in with the couple's theme.

The day ran seamlessly and the ceremony in particular (officiated by Andrew's groom's father) was a beautiful representation of their relationship, families, and friends. The couple had an "alternative" wedding party, which we loved seeing because it really "defied tradition" in lieu of doing what felt right to them as a couple.

They used Andrew's late grandmother's books in their centerpieces- it was such a beautiful way to remember her and looked so pretty in the low light! Paired with a variety of vases and wildflowers, it was perfectly whimsical, bohemian and homey.

Chicago Wedding Planner | Germania Place Wedding, Sara & Bria

The Germania Place is a great wedding venue- and we were really excited to hear that Sara & Brian selected it as their ceremony and reception location! It was a great choice for their Jewish wedding and worked really well for their classic, timeless color selection of black and white (with just a hint of a burgundy wine & deep fuchsia hue).

Sara's dress was AH-mazing. The skirt of the dress was so stunning and detailed. It was really unique and not something just any bride could pull off. But she could and it was incredibly flattering and beautiful.

We loved working with Ed & Aileen - they did a great job capturing the couple. AEG did a phenomenal job with the floral & decor (as always). The florals blew us away - the high & low combination was a fantastic choice and the floral combos were creative, bold and breathtaking! If you didn't already know, we're all suckers for peonies. So anytime wedding florals have peonies, we're instantly in deep love! Ha!   The Chicago Players really kept the party going too. The entire guest list was on the dance floor at least once. It was a great night!

Be sure to check out the Borrowed & Blue feature too!
