Colorado Wedding Planner | Perry Park Country Club, Kristin and Adam's Spring Wedding

Kristin and Adam had their Colorado wedding at Perry Park Country Club on May 27th. The weather was unpredictable (as it often is in Colorado) and it rained the majority of their day. The clouds cleared and the rain stopped RIGHT BEFORE their photos started; the timing on that gave everyone goosebumps. The fresh dew, the mist in the air and the romanic ambiance of Perry Park Country Club made for the absolute perfect, ultra romantic spring wedding.

Together, both Kristin and Adam wanted a wedding that was "whimsical, romantic, classy and elegant." They deliberately choose vendors that embodied that style, and they hired Simply Elegant for full service design. Their photographer, Jacquelyn Potter, captured their day - and their style - perfectly and everything came together exactly as Kristin envisioned it would. Their decor and design emphasized the soft touch of whimsical (bistro lights, big florals, rose gold) with their romantic style (her dress, cobalt blue, slight touches of coral) and together, the sophisticated and timeless element came together naturally. Overall, their wedding design was effortless and intentional - perfect combination of both romantic and whimsical.

Kristin and Adam had fun enjoying their day, and that is what they wanted! They were surrounded by so many friends and family (many who traveled across country) and celebrated intimate moments, such as reading their own heartfelt vows, and also big fun moments too. Kristin and Adam LOVE dancing and clubbing, they are traveling to Ibiza for their honeymoon to hit some of the best nightclubs in the world! With this, it was imperative that their dance party and DJ specifically was top notch - Adam actually upgraded to a bigger sound system to for "the bass." When the dance party opened, there wasn't a seat left in the reception - Adam (and Kristin) didn't stop dancing the whole night. It was so incredibly fun.

The night ended with a jam-packed dance floor and a playlist that Adam curated exclusively for the DJ himself. Cue the glow sticks, cue the dancing and cue the non-stop fun.

Truly, their whole entire wedding was out of a storybook. It was magical. The whole entire day! From Kristin's amaaaazing drop-dead-gorgeous gown, to the soft mist in the air the entire day, a string quartet for ceremony, the most heartfelt toasts, and the packed dance floor all night. It was impeccable.

"I still daydream about my wedding," said Kristin, "it was honestly the best day ever."

Colorado Wedding Planner | Crooked Willow Farm Wedding, Kirsten & Michael

Kirsten and Michael hosted their Colorado wedding at Crooked Willow Farm in Larkspur (just south of Denver!) When searching for venues, Kirsten and Michael wanted "a venue that embodies everything that is epic AND classy!" With Crooked Willow Farm, they TOTALLY nailed that vision.

Crooked Willow Farm is a huuuge immaculate and amazingly gorgeous barn set in the middle of beautiful pristine Colorado fields. Kirsten grew up owning horses, so when the venue came equipped with camels onsite, horse barns all over and tons of little equestrian detail she knew it was the perfect place for her and Michael to get married.

The couple continued to embody their rustic (yet super epic and classy) vision with a combination of timeless and elegant details. Kirsten's bridesmaids adored cowboy boots, while Michaels groomsmen had boutonnieres in shotgun shells (and featuring pheasant feathers!) Their stationery suite was custom designed with real gold foil, handmade paper, a raw leather wrap and the most beautiful hand calligraphy ever. Kristen and Michael intentionally put their own touch on their wedding by focusing on the little details - their guests noticed and loved the personality they felt in the overall decor.

In continuing the vision of "epic and classy" Kirsten really wanted to start her walk down the aisle on a horse. Kirsten's planner, Taylor, made it happen for her (!!!) Kirsten walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of "Clocks" and before Kirsten made it to her Dad (who walked her down to Michael) the horse, Ladyhawk, stopped and neighed for all of the guests! It was incredible. Kirsten and Michael both wrote their own heartfelt vows, and their wasn't a dry eye during the ceremony (sidenote: we cannot wait to see their video!)

After the ceremony, Kirsten and Michael signed their marriage license and spent some time with Ladyhawk. Their guests sauntered into the courtyard to enjoy a custom cigar-rolling bar, whiskey tasting, sausage station with elk, lamb and wild boar (whaaaat!), wine tasting and a string quartet for ambiance. Epic and classy!

The night concluded with a custom curated dinner (and dessert) from Occassions Catering, a mass of heartfelt toasts, tons of great dancing and one of the best father/daughter dances to date.

Everything WAS epic and classy for Kirsten and Michael! From the amaaaazing drapery and lighting in their reception, to the jaw-dropping florals and arbor piece (peacock feathers, antlers, garland!) It was truly one of our favorite weddings we have been apart of in Colorado!

* From their Lead Planner, Taylor: "Kirsten and Michaels wedding was absolutely and forever unforgettable! It was so much fun to work with Kirsten from the beginning. Together, we found her venue, designed her moodboard, curated her lookbook and set her vision on fire! By intentionally collaborating with amazing vendors we made her vision come to life, all of the vendors were perfect for what Kirsten wanted! My favorite part (aside from her walk down the aisle on the horse) was the room reveal! Showing Kirsten that her vision HAD came to life made us both tear up ~ happy tears! It was everything she wanted, and as a planner that is all you can ask for! SO much fun planning this wedding, I wish we could rewind and do it all again!"

Minneapolis Wedding Planner | Bold, Moody Wedding Inspiration at Hotel Ivy

A plethora of bold hues in the moodiest of tones, this shoot was all about dramatic details that would make any couple stand out. Our style inspiration was a little bit boho, a touch whimsical, a tad gypsy and 100% luxury. From the calligraphed metallic invitation suite to the incredibly detailed floral shrug and the luxurious table decor, every detail was crafted with flair.

Our model rocked two incredible goddess style gowns- a more traditional style with fitted, scoop neck bodice and soft flowy skirt. As well as a vintage modern option with an illusion neckline, lace detail and beaded back, with soft tulle overlay on the skirt.

Studio C created an amazing floral shrug & headpiece to accent the traditional gown. The bold and beautiful headpiece was a twist on a floral crown- with burgundy peonies and cascading amaranth. The shrug is a fantastic bouquet alternative that stays with you all night!

Invitations were crafted in copper and lavender with the most sensational hand lettering.

The hotel Ivy was the perfect upscale, modern venue for this shoot. They boast amazing views, gorgeous natural light, and super clean architecture.

The tablescape was an opulent array of black, gold and deep red/ burgundy and deep purple tones.

The sky-high candelabras and gold cloche accent with dramatically textured floral arrangements of peonies, purple cabbage, spider mums, hydrangea, amaranthus, greenery, ferns, seeded eucalyptus and ranunculus was breathtaking.

The textured gold chargers were both anchored and accented with black linen, accompanied by elaborate gold table runners. The combination exuded the moody vibe while maintaining a classic luxury feel.

The single tier cake was hand crafted with a deep aquamarine blue marbled fondant that looked too scrumptious to eat! It was a striking contrast with the purple and red hues and paired great with the bubbly display.

We included several behind the scenes photos because we think it's important for our couples to see how much work goes into a styled shoot! We do them because we love them- but there really are like mini-weddings! We LOVED working with this vendor team and appreciate all of their amazingly hard work in making such a beautiful, unique vision come to life!

Be sure to check out the Artfully Wed feature too!  And please PIN away! You'll see a variety of angles for some of the various design and decor elements- this was quite a dynamic shoot.
