Sofitel Chicago Wedding | Karen + Chase

When thinking back to Karen + Chase’s gorgeous and romantic Sofitel Chicago wedding last September, we get the biggest smiles on our faces! Their day was filled with so much love, beauty, and tradition, and it just could not have gone better!

Karen + Chase from the very beginning wanted to make sure that their day was romantic, warm, and a wonderful experience start to finish for themselves and most importantly, their guests! Our planner, Ashley Carpenter, worked very closely with Karen and her mother from the very beginning to ensure their day was exactly how they always envisioned it. From floral meetings and her lovely vision of incorporating Calla Lilies everywhere, to their planning meetings at the Bride’s rooftop downtown where they planned the perfect timeline, not one detail was left unturned and it ended up being exactly how the bride had always dreamt it would be!

The couple started off their day getting ready in separate suites at the hotel. The girls had the best time getting their hair & makeup done, and fully enjoyed each other’s company that morning. After Hair & Makeup was complete, the girls got dressed; they had one of the loudest and most adorable first look moments with the bridesmaids we have ever seen! After all of the excitement, we brought Karen down to see Chase for the first time, and tears were flowing all around. The couple then walked to a nearby park with their bridal party to capture some photos, and before we all knew it, it was time for the Ceremony!

Before the traditional Jewish ceremony started, we brought their immediate families into a separate room to sign the Ketubah, where laughter, tears, and pure love was shared by all! We then led the family to the Ceremony room, and Karen walked down the aisle, did the seven circles around her groom, and the very sweet & traditional Jewish ceremony took place (see below for our favorite photos captured of the couple during the ceremony – your heart will melt)! After the ceremony concluded, guests enjoyed cocktail hour, followed by a very fun, upbeat, and romantic reception, that had heart warming speeches from their closest! To wrap up the evening of course, they had the incredibly fun Hora, where the bride & groom were lifted high into the air, and pure joy was on everyone’s faces! This wedding could not have been more perfect, and we are just so honored to be apart of the day Karen and Chase will remember and love for a lifetime! xo
