We love a good party. And we’re lucky to attend one almost every weekend of the year. But every now and then, we get the honor to work with some of the best in the industry on a party for US. And that, my friends, is just what we did when putting together this fantastic New Years Eve inspired shoot! From our point of view, the “styled shoot” is an opportunity to assemble a dream team and create something we haven’t seen anywhere else. To pull together pieces and use details that are inspiring, aesthetically pleasing and translate great as individual elements but still work individually in other settings. We are able to work with old friends and new, on something unique to the team dynamic. Because not every vendor is capable of everything all the time- its key to continue to work with different professionals so that we can better service our clients. In our book, there is a vendor for every bride, and a bride for every vendor! And it’s our job to find them! After all is considered, and the hard work of the day is done…the icing on the cake is seeing this stunning vision in print in a magazine!
Although you can get all the participating vendor credits there, we couldn’t let you swoon over these photos without additional commentary from us too! We could go on and on about every single little detail that was poured into this shoot.
Maddy Hague of Splendid Supply Co slayed the Styling and Concept! And Athena Pelton captured every single detail beautifully! But, since you might not have all day, let’s cover the highlights, shall we?
First, tell us this dress isn’t to die for? It’s THE dress for the modern day princess that has an appreciation for sparkle. With the sweetheart neckline and full tulle skirt, it flatters multiple body types. Soho by Sarah Seven has a fantastic selection of gowns & special occasion dresses.
The flowers were quite simply stated- breathtaking! Not only was the fragrance intoxicatingly, but the combination of texture and color was gorgeous! We’re a sucker for peonies, but add in succulents, ranunculus, lush greenery, satin ribbon and gold corded string. And, well, you’ve stolen our hearts. It was a fabulous blend of delicate blooms and hearty, strong structure. We couldn’t help but find the symbolism in marriage here- you need both of these traits for a strong relationship. Knowing when to use softness vs. strength. Happy sighs.
Our sequin linens by Candy Crush Shop were perfection. We love a sequin linen because it catches the light in a room beautifully. It’s such a glamorous touch and fantastic for those “key” tables- think sweetheart, cake/dessert, gift, family etc. If you want to add pop to the room, a few sequin linens go a long way!
Now, something we must tell you about us. We’re obsessed with X’s & O’s. They mine as well be our middle name around here. We want to plaster them on everything. Which is why this shoot is the stuff our dreams are made of. Because not only did we have fabulous balloons by Glam Fete , but we had edibles. Edibles you say? Yep, believe it or not, those gorgeous favors are cookies! There is no doubt that Astonishing Cakes lived up to their name!
Tell us your favorite thing about the shoot! What would you incorporate into YOUR wedding day or party?
