Myth #1: A Wedding Planner is not in our budget.

While drafting up that epic Excel budget spreadsheet, the thought of adding a line item for "Wedding Planner" may have entered your mind. It's important to consider how much value a wedding planner can bring to your wedding. A planner can bring clarity and expert advice to decisions on  your budget, timeline, photography shot list, errand running, and general peace of mind that you will be free to enjoy your day instead of managing emergencies. Most of all, working with The Simply Elegant Group means that we actually SAVE you money. With our pre-negotiated vendor contracts in Minneapolis, Chicago and Milwaukee, industry relationships and expert money-saving techniques, we can help create the wedding of your dreams for less than you think.

Myth #2: I don't need a planner because my family will help with the details.

Family is an amazing support system to have with you during your wedding planning process! But if you don't know it by now, you'll soon realize your family can be the biggest stress factor during this exciting time. As much as you may try, it is IMPOSSIBLE to please everyone, and adding tasks and responsibilities to your family members can make things more difficult. Additionally, having a professional manage relationships with all of your vendors will ensure your wedding will go off without a hitch!

Myth #3: My venue's On-Site Coordinator will take care of everything.

Venues are realizing how important day-of coordination is to assist you on your big day. And while it's true that venue coordinators have an unparalleled amount of experience of planning wedding in their space, it's important to keep in mind that these coordinators work for the venue, NOT for you. They may be making decisions with their best interest in mind, not necessarily yours. A wedding planner that you hire will go above and beyond what your venue coordinator's list of services can provide, like managing your budget, mediating family disputes, navigating vendor contracts, etc. At Simply Elegant Group, our goal is to work as hard as we can to make YOU happy on the happiest day of your life.

Myth #4: A planner is not necessary because we are having a small wedding.

No matter how many guests attend your wedding, your vendors need to be coordinated and schedule kept to. Hiring a wedding planner will allow you to be a guest at your own wedding instead of signing for deliveries and checking your watch all night. The Simply Elegant Group has exclusive contracts with vendors we trust, ensuring your day is flawless.

Myth #5: I don't want my wedding planner to take over my wedding.

Hiring a wedding planner doesn't mean handing over all planning responsibilities... You may be a hands-on bride and have always dreamed of planning your wedding, but just need a little extra day-of. Or you may have a crystal clear vision of your big day, but don't have any time to pull it all together. Your planner should act as an advisor, mentor and support system. When you work with The Simply Elegant Group, you have several package options to include us as much or as little as you'd like, including Full-Service, Day-Of, or an in-between Day-Of PLUS package.
