Tell us about your business: I believe that beautiful stories are told with more than just one breathtaking image. True stories capture emotion and bring you into the moments you’re viewing. That’s how I approach time with my Clients. I capture a string of tiny moments to tell peoples stories, I don’t “take photos”. What I photograph are life’s amazing details that often get passed by; because when it comes down to it the things you will remember aren’t posed stares into someone’s eyes… it will be the average moments, good laughs and undisputable love for the people you shared them with.

What makes you different?: While do I shoot with both film and digital, and have a specific approach to my work, what makes me different is me. So much of what I do and what I create is based from relationships and connections. I love working with Clients when we understand each other, and it’s more like spending time with a friend on an incredibly important day than being in front of a Photographer. This allows everyone to be more relaxed, trusting and you to lets your true personality and interactions show in the images.

Can you tell us about your packages and price point?: Investment begins at $2,700, with each Collection starting with the same foundation, an online gallery, digital files, large print, a Folio Portrait Album, and full day coverage. Beyond the Collection base, we customize the Collection to fit your needs with things such as an Engagement Session, products or a Photo Booth. I understand that not every couple is the same, and neither are their needs for their wedding day

What is one of your favorite memories from a wedding?: It would have to be a first “not look” I photographed last summer. The Groom was in the armed forces, and had a typical “tough guy” exterior, but around his Bride he became this complete teddy bear that was so endearing. They wanted to be near each other but not see each other before the ceremony, so we found this stone smoke house tucked away on the property for them exchanged love letters around the corner while holding hands. I was so overwhelmed with how he was captivated with her letter... even taking a moment to smell the fragrance she had sprayed on the paper, before giving one light squeeze of her hand and separating from each other. He had this unexplainable expression on his face, as if he could feel her heart beating.

Anything else Simply Elegant readers should know about you?: Aside from the fact that I’m hilarious and have some pretty awesome dance moves, I truly believe that my Clients are not just people who ask me to tell their story... but friends I’m destined to meet.

JEN!! We are SO SO excited to have you featured on our blog today! Your talent, humor, and wit is so inspirational. We don’t just love working alongside of you at our weddings- but we are honored to call you a dear friend of all the girls at SE. We cannot wait to ROCK 2015 with you!
